CAREER PATHS IN TODAY'S MUSIC BUSINESS
Are you passionate about music and dream of turning your passion into a fulfilling career? Join music industry professionals Maggie McClure, Patrick Conlon and Christina Giacona as they take a deep dive into the various career paths. With real-life experiences and expertise to share, this one-day event is Saturday, Aug. 5, from 1-4 p.m. at the Francis Tuttle Danforth Campus in Edmond.
FINDING YOUR STORY
If you've ever had a story brewing inside you, itching to be brought to life on the big screen, this workshop is perfect for you. Led by Matt Payne, a seasoned screenwriter from Prairie Surf Studios, this workshop will take you on an exciting journey from developing a raw script idea to executing it with finesse. The workshop is divided into four sessions on Aug. 23 & 30 and Sept. 6 & 13, all at Prairie Surf Studios in downtown Oklahoma City.
FIRST CAPITAL FILM CREW INSTITUTE
Meridian Technology’s First Capital Film Crew Institute offers a treasure trove of courses catering to various aspects of the filmmaking process. You’ll learn how to make short films, what it takes to be an extra on-set, how to market yourself for film work and more.
