Thirty years after the Oklahoma City bombing, a movie about its impact on two individuals will be filmed here in late summer.
The Oklahoma City Council on Tuesday approved a 10% rebate for the $9 million film project to be paid following its completion.
The council also approved a rezoning plan for an urban nature preserve in northeast Oklahoma City after a motion to defer the item was defeated.
Filming on the movie code named “Project Galaxy” is scheduled for Aug. 11 to Sept. 19, said Jill Simpson, executive director of the Oklahoma City Film & Creative Industries Office.
“This is a great one. I’m really excited about it,” Simpson said. “This is the first project that I’ve brought to you that I’m recommending that we offer them the full 10% rebate.”
