Film incentives produce revenue for OKC

By Kenton Tsoodle, President of The Alliance for Economic Development for Oklahoma City

The Journal Record

Incentive programs position OKC as a premier place for film and television production and expands economic opportunities available for Oklahomans.

Home to more than 30 Film Friendly Certified Communities, four certified soundstages and many small businesses that support motion pictures and videos, Oklahoma’s film incentive programs cater to an industry that poured over $102 million into our local economy within the last year.

Incentives have a significant role in making Oklahoma desirable for film production. The Oklahoma City Film Incentive Program, administered by the Oklahoma City Film & Creative Industries Office, provides filmmakers rebates on qualified expenses for production and post-production activities.
